Pre-teen and parent class

Service Description

This 2-4 hour class is a specially scheduled blacksmithing experience for a parent and pre-teen (10-12 y.o.). Built from Doug's 13 years experience working with youth from 7-18 (he has worked with more than 1400 youth in the BSA, 4-H and other groups ), this session will let the youth hammer hot metal, learn about the forge, discuss safety and options for parents in the home environment moving forward. The content varies depending on the youth's desires, skills and attentiveness, but will be educational and fun. This is just one youth and parent, not a group event.
