Service Description

Kirk Sullens, artist blacksmith, brings his 4 decades of experience to the forge to demonstrate and teach traditional joinery techniques including punching, drifting, wedges, mortise and tenon, riveting, collaring, lap and wrap joints and more. During the class the participants will craft their own tooling for shouldering, drifting, riveting and more, then use those tools to create traditional joinery in a project. Lunch and snacks provided. Participants should have advanced beginner or intermediate skills in the forge environment. Age 18+ unless approved by Kirk Sullens or Doug Hayes in advance.
