(Note: some classes are scheduled directly with Doug. If you see a class you are interested in but that does not show up as available/on calendar, message Doug directly.)
IMPORTANT: Classes listed are for those 18 years and older.
I do teach a parent/youth combo class for those younger by appointment only. Call for information.
Classes Sept-Nov 2024
Sept 15th, 16th, 20th, 22nd; Oct 5th, 25th, 27th, 28th; Nov 2nd, 14th, 16th, 19th; Dec TBD
Introduction to Welding (5-6 hours) No Pre-req. Sept 12th; Nov 15th
Full-day Knife Class (9-10 hours) (Meets requirement as a FIRST CLASS) Nov 17th
Level 1 and Level 2 Blacksmithing Classes after Intro class (assorted topics) Call Doug to schedule
Date Night Blacksmithing (~ 4 hr) *includes a meat/cheese/fruit platter meal Oct 4th, Nov 1st
Veterans/First Responders Discounts - message for options for special classes or discount policy
Youth/Parent Class (arranged privately) (various duration 3-6 hours) Call to schedule
Minimum of 2 students must register for class to happen. If less than 2 book, we will reschedule.
Payment: 50% deposit required online at time of booking. Call for other options.
CANCELLATION: If you cancel less than 48 hours before, a $50 cancel-lation fee applies. If you reschedule at least 48 hours before class, the fee may be waived. If you are a NO SHOW - I will have already arranged my work day and you forfeit your deposit. (sorry, but it has happened more than once.)
For conflicts, I will attempt to reschedule you up to three times as above, for up to 9 months. After that you will forfeit the deposit/registration fees. I will refund a class for special circumstances.

Typical Classes run 5-6 hours. I provide a sandwich lunch, snacks and soft drinks during the class. Please read the SAFETY Information under the "More" tab at the top of the main page. You must wear appropriate shoes and clothing!! (NO Sandals, Crocs, Slipper-type shoes!!)
Iron Osprey Forge Class Registration
Iron Osprey Forge & Designs join creativity, art, and function through the historic trade of the blacksmithing arts to produce forged quality items to enrich your home. We also offer a range of classes for those who wish to sample the fascinating world of shaping hot iron with heat and hammer. Come join the exciting world of smiting hot iron. CLASSES TYPICALLY ARE FOR ADULTS 18 y.o. and up. Special youth and parent class options are available for those 13 y.o. and up. Contact Doug for details.
As mentioned above, I recognize that plans change and will work with you to reschedule your class up to 3 times if there is a conflict. However, after 6 months I reserve the right to cancel your registration and keep up to 1/2 of the class fee.

Gift Cards Available
You can gift your special someone with a gift certificate to use for our many Blacksmithing Classes or our Intro to Welding class. You can set the amount to reflect the cost of the course(s) you want to cover. The student can register online and use the gift card toward any deposit required (or pay the entire amount). The card can also be used toward shop merchandise or materials.

12 hours a day, sometimes I am away for a few days. Although visitors are welcome, PLEASE message or text before coming to the shop.
